5G Technology : explained and when to launch , speed and everything about it

5G TECHNOLOGIES: explained and when to launch, speed and everything about it

5G, A fifth-generation technology  - is a software-defined network which means it could entirely replace the cable and would use cloud storage as the basic platform. This would make more personalized experiences using the technique “network slicing” which is a way of creating separate wireless on the cloud for different networks.it initiates the potential to transform the internet.

5G network runs on the super high frequency which is just a bit less than satellite broadcasting.
The future of automation has a boosting charge with a 5G network which could increase the efficiency of artificial intelligence operated or automation technology operated devices.

How it works?

As all other cellular networks work, 5G will consist of cells that would be divided into sectors and will send data through radio waves
Each cell in this is connected to the backbone of the network through wireless connection .5G could also transmit data and information over unlicensed frequency   i.e. currently used for Wi-Fi.

There are even plans for bringing 5G technology using millimeter waves which would have a shorter range than a microwave, therefore cells would be limited to an only smaller size which could great loop whole in penetrating thick walls of the building, even network could suffer a lot due to climatic conditions.
This has been made sure that 5G can give efficient access to million devices per sq kilometer while 4G  only give support to1 lakh devices over the same parameters.

5G  radio hardware and 5G system for the carrier are sold by seven companies :

  1. Ericsson
  2. Nokia
  3. Huawei
  4. Samsung
  5. Datang telecom
  6. ZTE
  7. Altiostar

 Technologies used for 5G are:

  • New radio frequency
  • Massive MIMO ( multi-input and multi-output)
  • Edge computing
  • Small cell
  • Beamforming
  • WiFi cellular convergence
  • NOMA (non-orthogonal multiple access)
  • SDN/NFV
  • Channel coding

Salient features of 5G technology

  • 1.       Faster response time
  • 2.       Speed up to 10 G bit/s
  • 3.       Wide range of application use and upgraded version of previous
  • 4.       High reliability
  • 5.       Lower cost of infrastructural development
  • 6.       Lower latency
5G technology is expected to be launched in India between  2019-2020.
